Dr. Christensen is a graduate of the California College of Podiatric Medicine. Following his residency at Waldo General Hospital he has been in practice in Everett, WA and has been involved continuously with the Seattle Residency Training Program.

Dr. Lawrence A. DiDomenico graduated from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine and completed his residency training in Buffalo, NY. He completed an AO fellowship training in Germany and Seattle, WA. He also completed Ilizarov training in Kurgan, Russia.

Dr. Guido A. LaPorta is a national and international authority in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery. He is a graduate of the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine and received his Residency training at the California Podiatry Hospital and Bay Area Residency Program in San Francisco. He received a Masters Degree in Podiatric Surgery from the California College of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. LaPorta is a Diplomate and Past President of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, The American College of Foot Orthopedics and Primary Podiatric Medicine and Founding Member of the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine and Association for the Study and Application of the Methods of Ilizarov-Lower Extremity. Dr. LaPorta’s commitment to education is evidenced by his contribution to the scientific literature, chairmanship and presentation at numerous national and international meetings and directorship of residency and fellowship programs over the past 35 years.

Dr. Robert W. Mendicino is a graduate of the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine and completed his residency at Loretto Hospital in Chicago, IL. He is a past president of The American College of Foot and Ankle Surgery and is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery (Reconstructive Rear Foot and Ankle Surgery).

SchuberthJack Schuberth, DPM

Dr. Schuberth has been a member of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Kaiser Permanente San Francisco for the past 26 years. His interest in ankle replacement dates back to 1988, having implanted several different devices. More recently, in 2000, resurgence in the interest of total ankle replacement has allowed him to personally implant over 450 devices including the Agility, INBONE, Salto-Tolaris and STAR in the last 10 years. He has established an extensive data base in order to assess the outcomes of ankle replacement over the long term. In addition to routine ankle replacement his clinical expertise extends to replacement of the arthritic ankle with severe concomitant foot deformities.

He has authored over 85 publications which include 3 papers specifically on the total ankle. To date, Dr. Schuberth has had over 100 residents rotate through his hospital in various phases of training and has had visiting fellows from all over the world including Australia, Italy, England, Turkey, Germany, and Vietnam. He is also active in volunteer medical care both locally and abroad.

SteckJerome K. Steck, DPM, FACFAS

Dr. Steck is a board certified podiatric surgeon specializing in trauma and reconstructive foot and ankle surgery. His expertise is in total ankle replacement, trauma, and all disorders of the foot and ankle.

Dr. Steck is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and is currently serving on their board of directors.
